I walked around talking to people but didn't know who else does my style of music. Like you could say something like: anyone here who has CDs in the jazz genre, meet in this corner, for people with CDs in the country genre meet in that corner, etc. That way people could find their peers easier. Or even have a physical piece of paper that you could hand out to people as they entered that showed where to meet up with people of their own genre after the talk. ”

Plus, it was my tenth wedding anniversary of happy marriage to Tina Henderson. (I did take her out the following night as well, just to be sure to celebrate fully) But um, yeah. It was terrific. Like I said, I'll be there at the next meetup for sure. ”

“ Don't know what was going on. Hobbled up to town having broken a bone in my foot only to find that the 'party' had left the 'venue' for another one. Talked to a few musicians then headed off for the new venue to find that everyone had eaten and speeches were being made. Asked waiting staff if we could buy a drink we were very rudely told it was a restaurant! Anyway didn't enjoy any of the venues BUT enjoyed the speeches I heard before hobbling off into the night! A great idea and I have a lot of respect for the project but maybe some better advice on London venues (which are difficult!) for any future events. Hope this helps ”
