Introduction
Singer/Songwriter, living in Astoria. I won the Abe Olman Award from SHOF in 2006. I write mainly story songs about modern women. I like to say my writer's voice is funny, frank and definitely female. I perform solo with guitar.

Derek galvanized us with his great ideas. I met someone I'd wanted to collaborate with, and gave him my business card. There were some women there who whose descriptions of their music sounded interesting and unique. I met lots of Carribbean musicians there, so you might think about a specialty event for that genre.
