Red Light Cafe Show

This is a show Ziah and Awalim host every summer with guest dance and music artists from around the southeast at the Red Light Café in Midtown. We HIGHLY encourage everyone to show up so we can start a jam after the show. Mics and sound system will be set up, so it’s the perfect opportunity! I will send out a separate e-mail about this show and afternoon workshop with Devyani Dance Company.

It is a long standing tradition for our summer Red Light show to have an out of town guest teach a workshop. Megha and Devyani will be teaching an ATS workshop this time around! Details to be announced next week!

~Devyani performs pure American Tribal Style Bellydance (ATS) in the FatChanceBellyDance format. ATS is a modern style of bellydance with roots in Egyptian bellydance and stylistic influences from Spain and India . The dancers interact through a system of non-verbal cues to create a fresh, high energy performance unique to each venue and performance. This style is the launching pad for many Tribal Fusion groups. All pieces performed tonight will be in the traditional ATS improvisational style perfected by creator, Carolena Nericcio.
