What Type Of Amplifier Would You Recommend?

Hello everyone. I have been playing guitar for 22 years and switched to 7 string guitars in 1998 since I got tired of detuning. Though I play 7 string guitars I have never changed my output gear to compliment the heavier sounds my guitars generate. I've blown out my Crate half stack as well as two small practice amps, none of which it seems could handle the low end signals. Many in my circle of friends has recommended that I start playing through bass amps or rigs but I don't want to lose or muddle my high end signals in the process. I would like to know what all of you might recommend, brand, etc. I don't have a lot of money so I'm looking to go combo amp. Please help! :)
