Songsalive! is a non-profit organization supporting and promoting songwriters and composers worldwide. In Long Island, NY we have songwriting critique workshops EVERY 1st Wed of each month. This is a total freedom of expression open mic. All forms of art are welcome. Spit, step or play, do it your way with respect. This group is for composers and arrangers on Long Island who wish to share their collective knowledge and expertise in the areas of composing, notating, sequencing, mixing, recording, copyrighting, marketing and publishing their music.

A place where private music teachers can exchange ideas, network, announce teaching positions that become available, talk about the industry, help and learn new teaching techniques, talk about what works and what doesn't, how to find students and any other topic you may suggest. All private music teachers are welcome to join.

We are a creative community center in the heart of Westport in a 19th century carriage house that looks like a little red schoolhouse. Being an artsy girl in Westchester kind of can make one feel like a rare breed. There are not alot of social outlets for those of us who enjoy thinking outside the box a bit. Meeting people who have things in common can be quite a challange. Not anymore! This group is intended as a social group for creative women in their mid 20's to early 30's.
