This meetup is for musicians and fans of acoustic music.   Old Time, bluegrass, folk, blues rock, jazz, traditional and contemporary music. The Art of Cool Project (AOCP) is a jazz presenting nonprofit in the Raleigh-Durham area. We are dedicated to promoting, presenting, and preserving the local vibrant jazz scene. The AOCP has started this group to connect jazz to the Triangle. We host jazz concerts every first and third Fridays at local art galleries. We are a group of folks that love to get together and play classical chamber music, particularly string quartets. Rather than be "one of a crowd" in an orchestra, in a quartet, you OWN your part! We are looking for folks that can sightread well enough to play a Mozart quartet without exploding. Events will be scheduled with the pieces identified ahead of time, but one never knows where things will go.

This is a group that needs talented writers, performers, artists and designers in order to collaborate as a group to create an original play and eventually have it performed on stage.
